December 10, 2012

- When I clicked on the photo I was able to move the picture around.
- This camera is a manual camera that lets you move, focus, and zoom after the photo is taken.
- A photographer would have to know about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
- In my opinion it isn't worth the money because you can still capture the same photos with a regular camera, but this camera would be fun to play around with.

- On the computer her lips and eyes were enlarged and altered and the tone of her face.
- In my opinion it is okay to do it. I mean its advertising and it helps their business debating if consumers buy in or not.
- It would be wrong to manipulate photos like this if it were in some competition.
-It would be okay for advertising but wrong to trick people. Such as newspapers.
-Fashion photography can let you edit as much as you want while photojournalism take the picture then and there and writes captions that are irrelevant.
- Both types of photography are for those that are wanting, gathering, or is interested by information.

Self Portraits

"You can also use yourself as a test subject for experimenting with lighting or other creative techniques".
"Be silly, don’t be afraid to over-act".
"Have fun with it. Be sexy. Be yourself. Be awesome. Be different. Be creative. Whatever you do, have fun with it. That’s part of the point, after all".

I liked these two portraits because they both focus on the people in the picture, but you can get a hint on what they do as a profession without it being the main focus. Basically they added objects in the photo.

I picked these two self portraits because they are unique. The first one shows silliness and can capture peoples eye. The second one focuses on the face witch emphasizes the details of her features.

I chose these two photos because they are simple and look good. They both look professional.

In the self portraits I will be shooting Jin or Matthew. In my portrait I would like to be found in the hallways, football field, and in a classroom. In the hallways I would like to be the only person in the hallways. I would like for this picture to emphasize that I'm a student. In this photo I would make gestures and poses that you can normally find me doing during school as a casual self portrait. At the football field I would want the viewer to see the athlete in me. I would like the field goal post to be in the picture. If I could, I would like to be dressed in athletic attire. I would like this picture to be an environmental photo. The photo in the classroom I would like this to be a self portrait that I took my self. In this photo I would like to have a chalkboard in the background that has designs or possibly my name. I would like to have school materials out to give the viewer a mind that I'm a high school student. Some photos should have the rule of thirds or simplicity.
