American Solider Slide Show & Captions (Review)

I believe this image holds the most power because they are in life and death situations and they found a moment where they can let loose. This image shows a bond witch can be powerful.

1) Home at Denver: Images 1-8
2) In Basic Training: Images 17-30
3) In Iraq: Images 51-70
4) Back In Denver: Images 72-83
-In my opinion I think the Home at Denver Images have the most power because it shows how enlisting in the army effects the people around him.

C) The Images come together and tell a story by themselves because the images show step by step what has occurred to Ian.

3) The images of Ian are usually present tense.
B) The captions tell the story of what is actually going on rather than guessing.

Image #26
During basic training in Dallas, Fort Worth, a gift was given for falling asleep, as his fellow troop smothers his head in shaving cream. Awoken by a sergeant, he and all other troops had gotten a punishment for the immaturity.

Image#35
Arriving home in August, he takes a trip to the jerwley shop in the mall, as his girlfriend Kayla finds the "perfect" marriage ring. Later that day Ian is called upon by his sergeant for duties, in which aggravate Kayla to the point of splitting up.

Image#47
Coming home to friends and family after the fall, they gather once again for his last departure of the year. As he leaves to Iraq he wrote letters stating that he will be home again soon, during the summer.

A) The other features enlighten the photographs by informing us about the details that we can vividly see in our mind.
B) Videos tell you the story and can release more information.  The video gather sadness from the families experience.
C) Photos can vividly show you little details that a video can't.
